A morning climb followed by an afternoon kayaking in Okutama!

This Club Trip features:
* Cablecar and hike to the Mt. Mitake summit
* Visit Shrine, Mt. Village & waterfall along the way
* Afternoon Kayaking in Okutama
* Learn basic Kayaking techniques

We will be leaving from Shinjuku in the morning and travelling to Mitake Station by direct train (80min). From there we will catch the local bus 10min to the base of Mt. Mitake where we will board the cable car. From the top of the cable car it is a 30min, fun and scenic hike to the summit. From the summit you can see the high-rise buildings in Shinjuku in the distance, and as far as Mt. Tsukuba-san in Ibaraki Prefecture. On the path to summit there is one of the oldest shrines in Japan, said to have been built in 90BC.

After descending from the Mitake we will have a relaxing lunch by the river before heading to the base of the Kayak centre, Kayaking is a leisurely and fun way to explore the area and stay cool in the summer heat!! After a short safety lecture we will grab our Kayaks and cruise down the river. Instructors will be with us to give advice and tips. We will be doing a beginners course so its fine for first-timers!

After Kayaking we will head to the nearby Onsen to relax before going back to Tokyo. We will time it to catch the train back in time for those who are keen to check out the Tokyo Bay fireworks which are happening that night.

Saturday 11th August

07:30am	Meet in Shinjuku. Catch the 7:44 train.
09:10pm	Arrive at Mitake Station. Private bus (10min) to Mitake cable-car
09:30pm ~ 12:45pm	Take the cable-car to the mountain village. Sightsee in the village. Hike to the Summit. Visit the shrine on the way. Picnic lunch on the mountain. Catch the cable-car back down
12:45pm ~ 15:30pm	Private bus to the Kayak base. Short safety lecture. Kayaking in Okutama! Learn basic techniques.
15:30pm~17:00pm	Visit the local onsen
17:00pm ~	Catch the train back to Shinjuku. Head out to Tokyo Bay Fireworks if feeling genki!

Return cable-car ticket for Mt. Mitake.

Half day Kayak tour - includes kayak rental, life jacket rental, insurance, guides/instructors and all other required gear.

Private bus transfer from station to Mt Mitake and from Mt Mitake to Kayaking spot.
