snowy paradise of Minakami for one of the
biggest and funnest snow
parties of the year!!!
Snow Splash is an unmissable annual live music and performance event / party held every year in both Minakami and Hakuba and featuring the best Japanese and International roots, reggae, surf rock, dub, ska, percussion bands and more. Previous Snow Splash events have also included belly dancers, tribal drumming, fire twirlers, skateboard exhibitions, live painting, mechanical bulls and a whole variety of other performance acts that make the event so much more more than just a live music party.
This year's Snow Splash events are looking like becoming the best ones yet, with more and more acts being announced all the time. One of the biggest drawcards this year is 'Kora' one of New Zealand's top roots and dub bands who will b
e
performing at the Minakami Snow Splash. You
can check out more about Kora and hear some of their tunes on
their MySpace page. The Minakami Snow Splash lineup also already
includes EKD (Japan) and Very Be Careful (USA). Check out
the above links for more info on these great bands. Snow Splash Minakami is held at Canyons Alpine Resort, an awesome venue featuring two levels of simultaneous entertainment, bars both upstairs and downstairs, a large deck, skateboard halfpipe and more.
Minakami Onsen itself is the perfect getaway for Tokyoites looking for some skiing/boarding and onsen fun. We will be skiing/boarding at Okutone on Saturday a very cool ski resort that features night
skiing under lights until midnight! Okutone features runs for
all
levels, from beginner to advanced and also
features several very
popular snow park attractions as well as a deep powder zone for pow
addicts! If you wake up on Sunday, you can choose to ski/board another
day at Tenjindaira Ski Resort, one of the highest altitude
resorts in
the region, visit some of the local onsens, explore Minakami Village

The Plan
| Sat. January 30 | |
| 7am | Bus Departs Tokyo. Sleep on the bus. Watch snowboard/ski DVD's. Get excited! |
| 11am | Arrive in Minakami. Check into Hotel. |
| 12pm | Head up to the Mountain! Lunch at the resort then hit the snow! |
| 5:30pm ~ 7pm | Return to the Hotel. Soak in the hotel onsen. Relax. Get ready for Snow Splash. |
| 7pm ~ 5am | Walk across the river to Snow Splash. Dinner at the event. Watch bands and party until late! |
| Sun. January 31 | |
| 7am | Wake up (did you sleep?). |
| 7:30 ~ 9:30am | Breakfast at the hotel. |
| 8:30am ~ 4pm | Skiing / Snowboarding / Onsens / Sightseeing until 3:30pm. |
| 4:30pm | Brush off the snow and get back on the bus. |
| 8pm | Arrive back in Tokyo with good memories, new friends and looking forward to next time!!! |

Reserve a Space
| Reservations are for Club Members only but if you have a friend who wants to come theres no worries just get them to join up as a member for free on the website first. |
| The hotel is 4-6 people per room. Of course, groups of friends can stay in the same room! Males and females will be allocated to separate rooms, unless you're coming in a mixed group and you prefer to share. Let us know your preferences by email or on the reservation form. |
| The above all inclusive package is only available to the first 85 people who reserve a space. We have had several enquiries about a Friday Night bus so we will run a second trip leaving Tokyo on Friday night if we receive enough bookings. Just like last year, spaces on club trips will fill up really quickly so if you'd like to come, the earlier you reserve your space the better! |
