With temperatures well into the mid-30′s this week and most people cowering in airconditioned rooms, two TSC organisers joined 8 others to trek to the summit of Mt. Fuji in an attempt to escape the heat. While the base temperature was over 30 degrees, when we finally reached the summit it was a chilly 4 degrees!

Believe it or not there was still snow lying around up there! Around the crater there was enough for a little slide, however the lack of oxygen (and ski lifts) was enough to persuade us not to.
However, the freezing conditions did not stop us from dressing in hula skirts and performing a few Hawaiin classics on the edge of the crater as bemused trekkers looked on.

More photos and vids (filmed by head cam!) will be edited and posted by TSC member Mr Joseph Tame here in the near future…
