First Japan Ski Resort Opens for 2012/13 Season!
20 Oct 2012Yeti Ski Resort near Mt Fuji was the first ski resort to open for the 2012/13 winter season and opened yesterday in a very Japanese way with a cosplay skiing/snowboarding event. Over 300 skiiers/boarders dressed up in outlandish costumes for the opening day. This marks the 14th year in a row that Yeti has been the first resort to open – primarily due to their very sophisticated snow making machinery. Nice weather and newly snow capped Mt Fuji in the background made for a great October day out on the slopes. Looking forward to some more resorts opening up soon!
