Overview
The beauty of the autumn colors in Shosenkyo during November are a must see, set against a spectacular mountain, forest and stream backdrop. This trip features a ride in a cable-car to the summit where we will take a short/easy hike to a lookout with 360deg panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges and Mt Fuji. After descending in the cable-car we will continue on a pleasant and easy hike along the riverside with interestingly shaped rocks, stunning waterfalls and fall colors. There towering granite rock formations along the way in combination with the waterfalls and brilliant reds of the fall leaves at this time of the year make for one of the most picturesque walks around.
After lunch by the gorge, we will cruise down the road to visit two local wineries for some wine tasting, and soak in the local indoor/outdoor hot spring (optional) before heading home.

Really enjoyed this trip. It was amazing timing with lovely weather and the autumn leaves were out in full color. It was also very convenient with transportation arranged and having the guides navigate the hiking routes. Definitely want to join more Tokyo Snow Club trips!
Lucked out with a beautiful day for this hike. Very scenic, including panoramic views. We had a full bus, but the guides did an overall good job of keeping things in order. Unforeseen traffic delays cut into the itinerary, but it was still a fulfilling trip. Highly recommend.
The tour was a lot of fun. Be prepared for lots of walking. The ropeway was a bit of hike. Eating lunch along the river was super relaxing. We only got to one of wineries, but the owner was very passionate about his winery. It was fun to walk around and see all the grapes hanging down.
