Hakuba Snow Festival

Snow festival trip featuring skiing/boarding at two awesome resorts, fireworks, illumination event, free night skiiing, after party, free lessons, hot springs and more!

Overview

The Hakuba Snow Festival is an annual event held at the Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba 47 snow resorts. The festival features a full weekend of skiing/boarding, fireworks show, a massive LED illumination ski event, cultural and live music performances at the resort, free night skiiing and an after party with live music / DJs. Our trip also includes free lessons, hot springs and more!

We will be skiing and snowboarding at Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba 47 snow resorts which feature lots of varied runs for all levels of boarder / skiier. Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba 47 resorts are joined at the top of the mountain, providing loads of different trails and interesting terrain for you to explore. Both resorts feature runs catering for all levels of experience as well as many beginner, intermediate and advanced park features, and lifts open early.

This area is one of Hakuba's most scenic, with spectacular views of the nearby ranges and the Hakuba Valley. There are long & varied on-piste runs, good terrain parks both suited to beginners and intermediates, as well as lots of accessible tree and powder lines for the more advanced skiiers/boarders. There are many great restaurants and bars all over the mountain and a great outdoor onsen very close to our lodge, great for soaking those post ski/boarding muscles. Looking forward to a fun weekend!

Trip Reviews

This trip was so much fun! I met a lot of cool, new people and finally got back out to some gorgeous powder snow, after ages away. It was the perfect re-introduction to get my 'snow-legs' back, and actually be social. The guides were awesome; very informative, and super supportive, even, and maybe especially, when we were being dumb. My friend left her snowboard at the hotel, and I didn't notice until we got to the slopes. It was a whole ridiculous thing of sharing my board during the lesson. But, our instructors, Robin and Diane were super helpful, though hilariously flabbergasted by the situation. Hakuba was really gorgeous! And the festival, with the multiple taiko performances and fire dancing were quite the treat! Also, though we weren't there most of the time, the hotel staff catered to our needs brilliantly. They were so careful about everyone's dietary restrictions. It was admirable. All the staff, including the bus staff were really great, including long after the trip had passed. I lost something valuable on the way back, and everyone pitched in to search for it. It wasn't found, but I'm super appreciative of the effort anyway. Looking forward to another excursion with the lovely folks of TSC! I'll definitely be more mindful of my accoutrements next time! Cheers guys! Dani_T

It was a nice trip and I met some nice people also! There was a mix of instructors and they were good at helping people get started. Some of the information given was a bit late (such as rooming and bus information given on the day or the day before). Overall, a good trip and I would go again.

My time at Hakuba with Tokyo Snow Club was absolutely wonderful! They truly go above and beyond in providing attentive service, making them stand out from the rest. Plus, the organizers are proficient in basic Japanese, making it accessible for Japanese speakers with basic English skills to join TSC activities. If you're looking for a fun-filled experience, TSC is the way to go!

I had a great experience at Hakuba! Tokyo Snow Club, they always do very careful job than anywhere else. Also the organizers speak basic Japanese, so if you are japanese who understand basic English, you can join TSC! You'll have fun!
