“This was my first long weekend snowboarding and I was a little nervous to go but I had so much fun! I made lots of friends who I would run into across the resort and go snowboarding with. Despite the wind occasionally closing top area, there was always somewhere to go. I like how the hotel is located close to the yama no Eki so you have good access to the bus to get to other areas (although you can traverse anywhere). Had fun beating Daff and KG at blokus and getting panini revenge.”

“Great powder for a huge Ski Resort. If you want to go to the top of the mountain, be aware that the lift to the top can be closed due to the snowing condition. For snowboarder, some beginner route is pretty flat, so you need to beware of that. The hotel provided us with decent breakfast and a fancy dinner with delicious mini nabe. The public onsen was 24/7, which is warm and very helpful. The rental was so new and good, which helped me a lot in snowboarding in challenging route. Lastly, I love it when they play “Forest Gump” as the last movie, which end this challenging trip with a nice tone.”

Even sudden emergencies were handled very professionally and efficiently and I had one of the best times ever here! It was amazing!”

“During one of the biggest storms this year, the bus driver was incredible—keeping us safe as we drove there and back and helping those who went to the Snow Monkeys have a great time. The staff, as always with TSC, was helpful and energetic, and always keeping us on time. The hotel is very convenient to the slopes and rental counter, bus stop (for access to more advanced slopes), comfortable & warm, also with a large onsen. It’s an average-aged Japanese hotel, but the staff is also helpful and kind. Food is relatively simple, but good. Shiga Kogen is a great resort, especially with friends—it’s a bit complicated so, make sure to as TSC for advice before heading out & have a map. Had a great time & would love to come again!”

The hotel itself is very budget hotel but has everything you need for a wonderful weekend including food, great onsen, warm room, and a large equipment room downstairs. Great access to the whole area. I’ve found that even early in the season there is always somewhere to go and using nearby yamanoeki you can go by free shuttle anywhere. I had fun making friends and the vibe was great! I plan to go every year I can on this particular trip.”

“This was my first trip with Tokyo Snow Club and my expectations were exceeded! It quickly became apparent that TSC was very experienced in organizing these trips. Everything was thought of and communication was on point. We arrived on time at the hotel, which was very simple but had everything we needed. A highlight is definitely the hotel's own onsen, which is really relaxing after a day on the slopes. I personally found the breakfast and dinner to be delicious and varied. It was easy to make friends and find like-minded people with similar skill lev. In my case, I took the beginner's class, so I usually sticked to other beginners. But there were also a lot of experienced people there who went out on more difficult tracks together. There was something for everyone. Needlessly to say everyone was super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to join another TSC trip soon! ”

I was able to very quickly meet people at my snowboarding level and we had an amazing time shredding powder for two days. We couldn't have asked for better weather. The party was great, breakfast was fine, the dinner could have been better, but good enough. Bus, accommodation, storage, tickets, and everything was well organized. “It was my first trip with Tokyo Snow Club. I decided to sign up after a friend recommended them to me, and I was not disappointed. I found the whole thing to be well-organized. The trip leaders were clear about what to do and what to expect. They offered recommendations on which lifts to take and how to get to certain areas in the resort, and created a Whatsapp group where we could share photos, ask questions, etc. They also offered free lessons for beginner skiers and snowboarders. The hotel where we stayed at was nicely located — within walking distance to Yamano eki and Maruike — and the food (breakfast and dinner) was great. I especially liked that the onsen was open 24 hours. The party was a neat way to unwind, play some games, and chat. I’m already planning on joining another TSC trip to Shiga Kogen next month. Can’t wait!”

“Great trip with great people. Trip leaders were nice and helpful. Snow monkeys were very cute and I wish that we could stay longer in the monkey park and have a chance to get into the cafe. I suggest to separate 2 groups of people : snow monkey tour and whole day ski so that people who don’t ski on the next day do not need to depart so early and do not waste 3-4 hours waiting for the bus in the afternoon while skiers can enjoy full day ski. Portion of dinner and breakfast at the hotel was quite big and I was satisfied. I was also impressed with the starry night outside our hotel. Overall I am satisfied with the trip and looking forward to the next trip. ”

“That was really fun trip! If you are a beginner, I recommend you to go to ICHINOSE FAMILLY area where takes 20 min by bus from the hotel. TENGU couse in ICHINOSE FAMILLY area is no steep slopes, the distance is about 3km. You can enjoy the view while skiing, snow bording. If you are coffee drinker, should try Irish coffee at a cafe in MARUNOIKE area.”

The Christmas party was so well organized and accommodations were just what you’d need for a good weekend. Great access to the whole area with the bus station nearby. Food was alright and the onsen always felt amazing. The party was so well organized that even if you came alone, you’d have fun getting to know your team and play games. By the next day I had a whole group of friends to go snowboarding with. I can’t wait for my next trip!”

The hotel was pretty comfortable and have it`s own onsen. The food there is also great, especially the dinner, it`s was really surprising. We earned some cupons to spend at near by restaurants and store and it was really worth it. Also did the snow monkey park trip, and it is also really cool. Throughout the trip people were very friendly and it was easy to have fun with them. The only bad part is that it was only two days. I definitely recommend and will participate again in other trips. ”

“I recently had the pleasure of going on a ski trip to Shiga Kogen with Tokyo Snow Club. The resort was beautiful, with breathtaking views of the mountains and a variety of ski runs to choose from. Most of the snow was perfect, not too icy and not too slushy. There was a good mix of easy, intermediate, and advanced runs, so there was something for skiers of all levels. One of the highlights of the trip was the ski instruction I received. The instructors were top-notch, very knowledgeable and patient. Felt like I made real progress in just a few hours, and I know that I'll be a better skier because of it. The resort itself was also fantastic. The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the after ski activities, which included a huge public bath and party. Overall, I had an amazing time on this ski trip. The resort was fantastic and the skiing was great. “I had a great time on my first trip with Tokyo Snow Club! Tokyo Snow Club made the entire trip extremely easy, especially for a non-experienced skier. The beginner lesson was really fantastic and the equipment rentals were very easy. I also really enjoyed seeing the Snow Monkeys! The hotel was pretty bare-bones but it did the job of serving as a place to sleep and had a nice onsen. The food was okay, but I'm glad it was accommodating to my vegan friend who had a specially prepared dinner just to meet her eating restrictions. Though the party was cancelled due to covid, we still had a really nice time meeting people. I do think it would be nice if dinner wasn't assigned tables by room so that people could mingle and meet each other during that time instead of only sitting with the people they already know. Overall, I had a really great time and I am excited to go on more trips with Tokyo Snow Club in the future. Happy skiing!”
