Shiga Kogen is Japan's largest ski resort area, offering a vast winter playground with 18 interconnected ski resorts all accessible with one lift pass. The resort’s high altitude ensures excellent snow conditions throughout the season, and with over 80 kilometers of courses and 70 lifts, there's something for every skier and snowboarder. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced rider, Shiga Kogen provides endless terrain to explore. Additionally, the trip includes an optional visit to see the famous snow monkeys soaking in hot springs—an unforgettable experience!

The resort boasts a unique advantage with its inter-connected slopes across both the northern and southern zones, offering seamless access to a massive ski area. Unlike other resorts where terrain is fragmented, Shiga Kogen lets you easily explore different areas. With a variety of trails from wide groomers to off-piste tree runs, there’s something for everyone, including those looking for fresh powder without the competition seen at other popular Nagano resorts.

Located in the picturesque Joshinetsu National Park, Shiga Kogen is easily accessible from Tokyo and Nagano. The resort is surrounded by natural beauty and rich hot spring culture, with plenty of onsens for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The Plan

19:30 ~ 23:00 :
Meet in Shinjuku. Get on the bus. Depart Shinjuku. Stop for a rest/snack break along the way. Arrive in Shiga Kogen. Check into the Hotel. Sleep or late night onsen.

07:30 ~ 08:30 :
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant
08:30 ~ 16:30 :
Get out there early and ski / snowboard all day. Free lessons for beginners.
16:30 ~ 18:30 :
Soak in the hotel onsen. Relax with a cold drink
18:30 ~ 19:30 :
Dinner in the hotel restaurant
19:30 :
Xmas party: DJs, giveaways, dancing, good times!

07:30 ~ 08:30 :
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant
08:30 ~ 15:00 :
Check out of the hotel.Skiing and Snowboarding all day - OR Snow Monkey Tour

Soak in the hotel onsen. Pack up gear. Relax with a cold drink.

Return bus back to Shinjuku. Stop for snacks/dinner along the way.

Best weekend of my life I had so much fun on this trip, I came with a friend but I think that even if I had come alone I would have quickly made friends. The Christmas party was so well organized and accommodations were just what you’d need for a good weekend. Great access to the whole area with the bus station nearby. Food was alright and the onsen always felt amazing. The party was so well organized that even if you came alone, you’d have fun getting to know your team and play games. By the next day I had a whole group of friends to go snowboarding with. I can’t wait for my next trip!

The staff were super helpful the whole weekend and put on a great party. Shiga Kogen is a bit confusing if you’ve never been before (especially when some runs are closed) so highly recommend chatting with them for advice on where to go to suit your level Snow monkeys were a great side trip as well

The Christmas trip was amazing! I had a great time on the slopes and it was very convenient. The snow club took care of transportation, lift tickets, room assignments, and threw a great Christmas party on top of all that. I will definitely be joining more trips in the future. Well done and thank you for an awesome snowboarding experience!

I had a great time with the group. I enjoyed the snowboarding lessons and the instructors were super helpful too. The best part was probably to get to know a lot of people and having fun along the way. I am super excited for the next one!

This trip was memorable in so many ways. The coldest temperature that I've experienced, the longest period of constant fresh snow fall, the beauty of the area, and the snow monkey visit.... it was all unforgettable. TSC made this possible, with entertainment and genuine support every step of the way. I will definitely tour with them again, and recommend others to.
