Cortina & Tsugaike Snow Festival
A solo snowboarding trip. This winter's second snowboarding adventure with TSC was, as always, well-organized and fun. It started snowing the night we arrived, so the bus took longer than expected. However, it didn't stop us from hitting the slopes early the next morning. Even though it was a solo snowboarding trip, I ran into friends from a previous trip, and it was great fun to snowboard together. Tsugaike has a super wide beginner slope, perfect for beginners to hone their skills. It was there that I first attempted to switch edges. Although it wasn't very smooth, it marked a satisfactory end to my first snowboarding season. Cortina is incredibly beautiful and made me feel like I was snowboarding in Europe. Once my skills improve, I'll definitely visit Cortina again. Next year, I'll join TSC again and continue to be a shredder girl. Don't hesitate! If you're thinking about going on a snowboarding or skiing trip, TSC is your best choice.

Yoga in Yoyogi Park
I had an incredible yoga experience at Yoyogi Park on a weekend morning. The setting was perfect, with fewer people around, making it serene and ideal for a focused practice. The ambiance of the park added a refreshing and natural element to the session. The instructor was extremely patient and attentive, providing clear instructions and personalized guidance. I appreciated the opportunity to challenge myself with new poses, which was both rewarding and invigorating. The calm environment, combined with the instructor's expertise, made it an outstanding experience. I highly recommend this yoga session for anyone looking to deepen their practice in a peaceful outdoor setting. Overall, it was a truly enriching experience that left me feeling both relaxed and accomplished. I will definitely return for more sessions and encourage others to join. Yoyogi Park’s beauty and tranquility make it the perfect location for yoga, providing a unique and rejuvenating experience every time. It’s a must-try for anyone seeking balance and peace.

White Water Rafting
I had an absolutely fantastic time white water rafting with TSC! The experience was thrilling from start to finish. The weather was perfect—hot and sunny, which made it an ideal day for water activities. We started with an exhilarating rafting adventure, navigating exciting rapids and enjoying the cool splash of the river. One of the highlights was jumping off the rocks into the water, which was a thrilling challenge and a lot of fun, even for me, who isn’t a swimmer. I also made some great new friends during the trip, and the camaraderie added to the enjoyment. At the end of the day, Keiji led us to a beautiful spot by the river where he generously shared some Japanese sake with us. It was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing adventure. I’m already looking forward to more TSC outdoor trips in the future. If you’re seeking excitement and new experiences, I highly recommend white water rafting with TSC!

Shiga Kogen Snow Monkey Powder Long Weekend
What a wonderful trip! Our adventure began with exhilarating ski runs on Shiga Kogen's expansive slopes, renowned for hosting events during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. The varied terrain catered to all skill levels, from gentle slopes perfect for beginners to challenging runs that thrilled seasoned skiers. Beyond skiing, we ventured to the famous Jigokudani Monkey Park, where we marveled at native Japanese macaques soaking in natural hot springs—a sight straight out of a wildlife documentary. The experience was both enchanting and humbling, offering a rare glimpse into the region's rich biodiversity. To unwind, we indulged in the local onsen culture, soaking in rejuvenating hot springs surrounded by snow-covered landscapes—a quintessential Japanese winter experience. Shiga Kogen, with its blend of adventure and tranquility, truly captivated our hearts. Whether reconnecting with old friends or forging new friendships, every moment in Shiga Kogen was a testament to the beauty and warmth of Japan's winter charms.

Zao Onsen Snow Monster Festival
This is my second time here with TSC! Embarking on a 2-day journey to Zao with Tokyo Snow Club was nothing short of exhilarating. Zao is famed for its expansive ski slopes, vibrant culture, and iconic Snow Monsters—trees adorned with heavy snowfall, sculpted into fantastical shapes by nature's whims. Our trip began with reconnecting with old friends and making new ones within the TSC community, fostering a warm camaraderie amidst the snowy landscapes. Skiing enthusiasts like myself found paradise on Zao's slopes, where we challenged ourselves on every run and celebrated breaking personal speed records—a thrilling highlight of the trip. The crown jewel of Zao's winter spectacle, the Snow Monsters, left us awe-struck. These majestic, snow-covered trees stood as silent sentinels against the wind, their eerie yet beautiful forms a testament to nature's artistry. Attending the Snow Monster Festival was a sensory delight. We immersed ourselves in a magical evening of fire shows, captivating music performances, a lively skier party, and culminating fireworks that painted the night sky in vibrant colors. No trip to Zao is complete without indulging in its relaxing onsen baths, where we soaked away the day's adventures amid serene mountain views. Zao, with its blend of adrenaline-pumping activities and cultural richness, proved to be a perfect getaway. Each moment, from conquering slopes to experiencing local festivities, etched unforgettable memories of Japan's winter wonderland.

Miyakejima Dolphin Swim Island Getaway
Great trip if you love dolphins! It's quite a journey out to where the dolphins are, so I can see folks that are not motivated enough getting bogged down by the transport, early morning, and/or sea sickness (it's another 30-60min long boat ride from the island to where the dolphins are). I enjoyed the trip though, definitely worth it to hear the dolphins whistling and chirping in the water in my opinion :) Due to weather, the trip I was on split everyone into 2 groups that went out Saturday morning (right after the beginners lesson right after arriving on the island) and Saturday afternoon (this group set up camp first). I think usually there's a group going out Saturday and another on Sunday. For my group we got to go into the water 4 times (look for dolphins, jump in and swim with dolphins, get back on the boat, repeat), not sure if they limit by time or by number of swim opportunities. The trip leaders handle BBQ dinner (Sat) and breakfast (Sun), and accommodate vegetarians and other dietary restrictions (just let them know in advance)! They brought tofu and made the yakisoba vegetarian (without the sauce which had fish seasoning in it) for the vegetarians, which I really appreciated. There's also a huge serving of salad, fried rice, normal yakisoba, bbq veggies, and lots of meat for our trip. Cereal, yogurt, eggs, bread, juices, milk/soymilk for breakfast. The campsite was nice but not close to much. We swam for a bit and also took a walk up to a small grocery store and a shrine. It's nice if you bring some games to play with the other travelers. The bathrooms have bidets but the showers are pretty bare (there's hot water though!). We had rain during our stay so Tokyo Snow Club brought some tarps to help protect the tents, which definitely helped make the stay more enjoyable given the conditions.

White Water Rafting
I just enjoyed another amazing trip with TSC. Our guide was very helpful and he injected some real positive energy into the experience. The whitewater rafting was really just beginner level stuff but we had some fun little stops along the way. The location alone makes the trip so worthwhile. Beautiful scenery.
